March 14, 2008 BAND: Not much to report. New shows to be announced soon. Lots of new pictures posted to the official website www.viletorment.com. Expect more news soon. WEB: So once again, I have trashed at least one part of this site. There are currently NO pictures posted on the pictures page. I intend to remedy this as soon as Vile Torment has an upcoming show that I actually take pictures for. It just became a god be-damned nuisance to post all those pictures every time! So from now on, all pictures will still pop up on their own size box with a (possible) black background, but minus the captions (which apparently they were beloved and despised by all in equal amounts - guess I'm just not as funny as I thought I was. *shrug*). If you wish to leave comments to me regarding the death of the pictures of yore/captions feel free to email me at squee@thepaperstar.net. If I am feeling amicable, I might send you back a note consoling you for your loss, or even down a shot of Tequila Rose in your stead as I reminisce about how cool the pictures page USED to be... but thats not very likely. Other sections of this site may also one day disappear... so be on the look out. Until then. Keep rockin! October 6, 2007 BAND: WARNING WARNING! VILE TORMENT IS COMING TO CHAMPS ROCK ROOM! NOVEMBER 9, 2007 - 9 p.m. - $5 COVER CHARGE - 21+ ONLY - APPEARING WITH MAD RHYMES & THE SYSTEM AFTER. BE THERE OR ELSE. WEB: Whoa! I've been posting to this site every few months... in fact its been a little under 2 months since the last time I was here... I better be careful or this will become a habit! Site is slowly but surely getting fixed up. I've fixed a few holes and I'm starting to finally work on adding my wayward pictures. Expect them up sometime in the future. ATTENTION BOOKERS! As much as I seriously doubt anyone who books bands looks at my site, I now have the booking info on my contacts page along with a link to Vile Torment's Myspace page in the links. If you are looking for a death metal band to book for a show and want to preview them first, ya can! Other than that, not much to say... The mother site (www.thepaperstar.net) is getting little loop hole revampage done and its sadly been eating up the Vile Torment Picture/Caption time. But have faith. My fingers hurt alot and I only do this for you. *smirk* Til next time! August 16, 2007 BAND: After rocking out the new Champs Rock Room, our fateful heroes have been spending quality times with their instruments and booze and will hopefully have a few new shows lined up soon. WEB: Good news for all you dial uppers! The Pictures page now has a (hopefully) operational preloader! So the 200+ pictures on the page should no longer be such a big issue to view. I do have several pictures from the latest Franks and Champs Rock Room shows and I'm working on getting those set for the site. So hold on to your hats children, its gonna be a bumpy ride! April 3, 2007 BAND: After waiting many a moon for our faithful heroes to return from the battlefields of surgery and studio recording, our unholy prayers have at last been answered. Our boys are back rocking venues with a brand new two song Demo under their belts, soon to be followed up by their first full length cd - aptly titled 'The Beginning.' Keep a look out on www.viletorment.com for more info on this exciting topic and news of upcoming shows. WEB: So ALOT has been updated (finally). All pictures from 2006 and 2007 (so far) have been posted/captioned/etc. As a special bonus, I've also added pictures from the fabled 2005 Halloween show and SEVERAL fan pictures. If you have EVER had a shot taken with Vile Torment - have a looksie because you just MIGHT be on the Pictures page. Now - to warn you - there are now 200+ pictures all in the form of thumbnails calling the pictures page their home. If you have dial up this WILL take a while to load. Please be patient! I am working on setting up a preloader so it won't take as long to load - but until then. WAIT! And now for the ultimate surprise - get this: I HAVE LYRICS! Yes! Its true, you can all pick your lazy asses off the floor where I'm certain you have all collapsed and get to the lyrics page and LEARN THEM! I expect everyone to KNOW these lyrics at the next show and rock out and sing along! (I WILL be quizzing you!) So LEARN THEM - LOVE THEM - KNOW THEM - Most of these songs WILL be on the new album! My thanks once again to Scott for providing them. October 27, 2006 BAND: After rocking the Penny Road pub in June 06, our boys have seemingly disappeared. But fear not, the Vile Torment boys haven't been slacking off one bit during their 4 month break. Hard at work in the recording studio, the boys have completed recording 11 out of 12 tracks for what will hopefully be their first full length soon to be available to one and all to rock the asses of the masses. More info on the album/demo as it comes. Unfortunately amidst all the rockage, it was discovered that Craig needed to be put on the injured list and had to have surgery. He is on the mend and will be ready to rock the Ye Olde Town Inn by November 10th. WEB: As you can tell, the Vile Torment website is being revamped yet again. Hopefully this version will last longer than the others. Expect new pictures and hopefully the lyrics VERY soon.
